Public Workshop on The essence of Buddhist meditation
In general, meditation is considered to be a useful tool for relieving stress and increasing productivity, but meditation is also a powerful cognitive tool which allows one to go beyond the ordinary dualistic mind.
The essence of Buddhist meditation is going beyond this ordinary mind which is always judging and thinking, discovering an empty dimension where thoughts manifest rising and ceasing, the so-called «dimension of phenomena» or dharmadhatu. It can be achieved by turning the gaze of awareness away from the objects to its own source, so that we could also find that all our ideas about who we really are are no more than deluded mental projections while our real nature is indescribable, unexpressible and cannot be even thought of or conceptualized.

Even though acquiring certainty in this knowledge requires long and persistent individual practice, one can still have a glimpse into this profound principle or at least understand that the mind is very limited and there’s a way to go beyond mind to the next stage of human evolution.
The workshop is for everyone who is interested in exploring one’s own consciousness.
